You'd be best having them in separate cages but next to each other. If you're supervising "play time" outside of the cage, I don't see why you couldn't have them out together. Just keep a close eye on them - rodent teeth are sharp and can cause a lot of damage.
That's REALLY not a good idea. check out www.cavyspirit.com to find out why
here, put them together with me in the cage... im half a Monitor lizard and Bearded Dragon (yea, I shaved). I will over see the whole ruckus if they decide to go at each other, promise!
bad idea i would keep them seperate. they are different animals. the serian might bite the guinea pig or somthing. if i were u i would be on the safe side and not put them together.
hamsters tend to beat up on guineas when they are caged together.it's not a good idea
For the safety of both animals please do not house them together. Guinea pigs should only be housed with guinea pigs and vice versa, both have different dietary requirements, housing requirements and general care requirements. Keep in mind if you are getting a guinea pig that they do better in pairs.
You are better of housing them in seperate cages next to each other, when you take your piggy out for floor time you may wish to have the hamster out then, but just watch very carefully and be prepared to step in.
Good Luck!!
