"Oohlook" is right, hamsters are extremely destructive when they are loose in the house - My little Houdini escaped one time, and in the 3 days it took to find him, he chewed up an amazingly large piece of the carpet on the floor of the closet where he was hiding. He also chewed a large hole in my husband's leather tote bag...good luck finding yours, just remember - you are smarter and bigger!

she probably got outside or something... chances are high thats shes dead... how long has she been gone? Do you have any other pets? And also, I lost my snake, corn snake, and I haven't seen it since.

Before you go off and get another hamster, you need to find the other one and get another cage. It isn't all your friends fault, if you knew nothing about hamsters, then you shouldn't have taken it or you should have done research before you made a decision.

well i have a hamster and got loss for 2 days i founded at 4:30 in the morning usually is the time they go out for food ( in the wild hamster walk 2 or 3 mile to get food) so i recommend you to try to catch him in the night if for any reason you don't find him the smell is gonna led you to him
