No it will upset him but it wont shorten his life..hamsters wake up every two hours to eat and hoard food anyway.however dont stick your finger in his face..because you may startle him and he may bite you.start calling his name and then touch his back gently.just think of howl you would want to be woke up...you know?..my hamster usually stays up till 6:00am..lol

NO IT JUST STARTLES THEM.. IT IS ACTUALLY HEALTHY FOR THEM... PUT THEM ON A WHEEL WHEN YOU WAKE THEM THEN THEY START RUNNING FOR THEIR EXERCISE...

Waking your hamster up when you like is not good esp everyday it can cause alot of stress to your hamster.They stay up till early morning(all night)up till like 7am sometimes.
