Will male guinea pigs always eventually fight2007-11-24 22:20:05

Unless they're rolling balls of fur and drawing blood when they are battling to be "top dog" you need to leave them alone to work it out. This will probably happen more as each one goes through puberty, if they haven't already. If you seperate them and then put them together again, the whole dominance thing starts over, and they will have lost any progress that was made.

How old are they?

My two boy guinea pigs are brothers. they have only fought once when we were watching there sister who my neibor owns. so pretty much if no females come in the picture I think they won't.
most likely not, they will have a few scuffles over territory
It really depends upon their personalities. Just like people, guinea pigs can be aggressive or laid back.

Just because they are males, doesn't mean that they will fight. This is a myth.

The chances of fighting increase as they approach puberty. If you can make it past puberty, then chances are they will be lifelong friends. That doesn't mean that they will never have a scuffle though.

They will chase each other and display mounting behaviors. This doesn't mean they are gay or anything like that (I've heard people say this! LOL!). This is how they establish who will be the dominant pig. It is normal and nothing to worry about.

If, however, they are biting and drawing blood, its time to separate them permanently. Just keep an eye on them. Chances are good everything will be just fine.
