Will my 2 rats get along with another 3 rats

i have 2 male rats a hooded rat and a hairless and they are four monthes old. my cousins rats are also four mothes old and are all from the same breeder but she has a hooded rat a black rat and a curly rat. she is coming over sometime and might bring her rats. would they get along in the same cage?

If your cousin is just coming for a visit and you expect the boys to leap out of their cages and play together, or you expect them to get along if she should put her rats in your rats' cage........No, it won't work. There will more then likely be a fight instead since your cousin's rats are "invading" your rats' territory.

Male rats need a long, lengthy, introduction period to get to know each other before they can be friends. Just because they are from the same breeder doesn't mean the boys remember each other. They've been apart too long.

If your cousin does bring her rats to your house, the boys will have to stay in their own cages and some distance apart. Be aware of male rat aggression in their behavior.

Make sure that both your rats and your cousin's rats are 100% healthy otherwise there is the risk of your rats getting sick from hers, or your rats passing an illness onto her rats if there hasn't been a quarantine period.
