Will these be safe for my guinea pigs2007-11-24 22:20:10

Never put anything in your piggie's water. The drops you get at the pet store make the water taste yucky & sometimes it will cause the pig to drink less. Secondly, because Vitamin C degrades when exposed to light & water, the Vitamin C is rendered useless once it is added to the water. So basically, you just end up with orange colored water.

Best of luck!

no. its best to give them fresh fruits and veggies (links below) the only vitimine u need to make absolutly sure they get is vitimine c. some guinea pigs dont like the drops and will stop drinking the water which will lead to dehydration.
guinea pigs or any other rodent shouldn't need any vitamins if you give them pellets, hay and fresh fruits and vegetables.
it's safe as long as the only vitamin is vitamin C and your piggie won't like the taste.
The vitamin c in the water drops just decomposes shortly after you put it in and it stains things. I brought a white guinea pig home from the petstore and she had been hanging out under the water bottle and the yellow stains wouldnt come out for months.

Bell peppers and kale both have tons of vitamin c and arent that expensive. Also get the vitamin c fortified pellets for guinea pigs, they use stabilized vit c to last longer.

well scence they r made for guinna pigs they should be ok.
yes i used that but hated it this is a better product
