Would it be ok to put a guinea pig with a rat2007-11-24 22:20:16Answers:

Ok seriously, don't listen to the other advice givers.

It is never a good idea to house separate species of small animals together. That includes petting hamsters, gerbils, suger gliders, chins, or even mice with guinea pigs. Rabbits are especially dangerous to pigs, as they can deliver powerful kicks that can kill, or cripple your pig.

A rat and a guinea pig would be a fight ready to happen. Different diets, different behaviors, and different ways of life. Please keep them separate at all times.

And I'm ashamed of a lot of people who gave answers that were wrong, ill informed, or completely irresponsible. If you want your pig to have a friend, get another pig of the same gender.

That is all

never thought of that one...

Idk if they would like each other.

Research it.

My guinea pig was sorta with our bunny and later I found out the bunny can give the guinea pig a disease and idk if that's why my guinea pig passed away...

So make sure it's safe to have a guinea pig and rat together.

....no
Not sure about that one. They might get along, try it for a few seconds and see what they do once they get over the "who's dominant" thing.

Never, never, never put a rat and a mouse in the same cage unless you want a dead mouse.

Don't do it.
