I don't recommend it.

For starters, the guinea pig and the rat live on a very different diet. Guinea pigs are herbivores whereas rats are omnivorous. I don't know how you'd feed them if they're housed together.

Also, rats tend to be a little ferocious with other species that are smaller than them or seem more docile and passive. They are very intelligent and can be very protective towards their owner (you), against the other species. Your guinea pig would be rather stressed out!

You probably could house a guinea pig with a rabbit, but not with a rat. Although I say so, I don't say you definitely can or cannot. There are always exceptions and if you're going to try anything, only do under close observation and scrutiny!

no don't they will hurt eachother and can even cause death. put them is separate cages.

it would depend on the rat and the guinea pig. i have a rat that cant even be housed with other rats...it all depends on the individual. i would think they would both need their own homes on order for their housing to be adequate for their individual needs. obviously a guinea pig needs more room then a rat. but rats need a lot more room then people think...
