Answers:Call around to a local feed store & see if they sell Mazuri. That is a very good pellet. Maybe your mom would be willing to drive you to a feed store that sells it?
I stay away from the petstore stuff, simply because its got a lot of stuff in there thats not good for the piggie & also because it has been sitting on the shelf for who knows how long, so its probably not very fresh. However, I understand you have to do what is convenient for your mom.
Oxbow products are highly recommended by a vet at my practice.
That looks like a really good food! Lots of nutrients and alfalfa. Just be sure to introduce it to your piggy, little by little. Mix it in with his old food for a bit as you switch over. You don't want a sick cavie with a tummy ache!
I've heard nothing but good things about it but my piggie eats Kaytee forti-diet since she's still growing.
you can change it to what ever as long as you mix both of them together.Slowly take the old food product out and then wala!otherwise they will refuse the food.
That should be great for your pig. Just remember to also be feeding Timothy hay

and fresh veggies.
any food that has the essentials for a guinea pigs diet and nutrition is a good one
The brand Kaytee is ok, better is Oxbow which is sold at most exotic vets. At least the pellet is better than that other mix. Timothy based pellets are too strong, if I remember correctly your guinea pig is about 3 months, in which case he should still be on Alfalfa based pellets and alfalfa hay. Remember to make the switch slowly, any quick rush changes in a guinea pigs diet causes stress and in turn diarrhea.
I fed my pigs this Kaytee product for a long time, and they were fine. I recently switched to Oxbow's Cavy Cuisine, and they like it very much. Oxbow is a higher quality pellet with less "junk" fillers, though it's not as readily available as Kaytee. Try doing a search on Oxbow's site to see if there is a retail seller in your area that carries their line of products. You can also order the food online, though shipping tends to be ridiculously expensive. All in all, if you have to go with Kaytee your piggies will be fine.
thats what i have so i think its fine. go for it!
good luck
