Would this be good to take my new piggy home from the pet store than just a box that they put them i2007-11-24 22:18:29

Yes, you can use that or you can save your money & use a box for the trip home.

Some people use a cat or small dog carrier to transport piggies. I use my first "pet store" cage as a travel carrier. I can get a pigloo in there & it has a stable floor to help the piggie feel more secure.

That'd be fine just to transport from one place to another. OR you can use a cat carrier or dog carrier. They are about the same price and bigger.

not the best idea, Pigs like stability. The #1 reason the scratch and claw is because they dont feel safe. Either being held or being in something with out firm footing. Get him a pet carrier. The kind that open from the top. That is better and safer for a carrying cage and it wont frighten him with the swaying and swinging as much. I have raised show pigs and foster rescues for 17+ years now.

It is fine for travel from one place to the another, I purchased a cat cage for this purpose. It has a lid that comes up from the top, this makes catching easier. Enjoy your new piggy!!

it would be fine. but i recomend that u look at the ratings for it and read some of them to see . btw when u go home in the car talk to your piggy so it will get used to your voice.
