Yorkshire Terrier got a hold of a mole and it looks injured2007-11-24 22:20:19

My dog got a hold of a mole in my backyard and the mole isnt moving. I can see it breathing and theres no blood, its just not moving. When you pet it, it will shake and what not so it is alive. What should I do?

Answers:

He could be paralyzed or just scared. I'd put him somewhere quiet and let him calm down to see if he's okay. If he doesn't move at all after that, he might not make it.

call the rspca

ib the mean time put him in a box where it is warm and quiet

put in a small bowl of water and a little dog food

and leave him quiet and warm till the rspca or which ever animal protetction people you call

Moles are insect eaters. I seriously doubt that they will eat the dog food. Call your local vet to see what he/she says. My dog eats lizards...Sounds like the poor guy isn't going to make it. Sorry :(
