I want to by a hamster. But before I do I want to know peoples opinion on hamsters.

I have had hamsters for about 5 years now, and i love them! They are great pets. They are small so if your looking for something to hold for a long time then a hamster is probably not a good choice for you. You can hold hamsters, and they love to play and run. Teddy Bear hamsters are the best in my opinion, they are very sweet and you can hold them a bit longer then any other kind, also Black Bear hamsters are also very sweet, however they are not as tough as teddy bears. Teddy Bear hamsters tend to live longer then any other breed. Little breeds of hamsters tend to be more nippier and they aren't very sweet.

My personal opinion on hamsters - they're small but cute. They're rodents that can make excellent pets. Judging by the vast amount of questions on here, I think it's safe to say that many owners don't think it's necessary to take their hamsters to a vet if they become ill - which is a shame.

Personally, I think hamsters are great. I actually have guinea pigs, but they're in the same family.

They're cute. But they die a lot. It's hard on the kids if they get attached. You're better off going with a more durable pet.

i think they are cute, i have never had one but my best friend has and she buys them all the time. i think the maintnance is low and thats usualy a good thing.

They can be great pets. They are very active. and furry. They're alos pretty easy to take care of. Just feed them and change their cage. The best part of buying a hampster is that they play around a lot! You can pick them up and put them in the hampster wheel. :] It's tons of fun having one. I had one when my oldest daughter was 9 and my youngest was 2 months. The hampster was playing in the living room with my oldest. It bit my youngest. The hampsters can be dangerous. If you buy one you might want to be careful if you have younger siblings or children. Also, the bad part of a hampster is that their cage can smell! So change the cage and the water often. But I think having a hampster is a great idea! Good luck! :]

my opinion...IS THAT THEY R VERY VERY CUTE.THEY R VERY ENTERTAINING AND ARE FUN TO HAVE AS A PET....U MUST TAKE GOOD CARE OF THEM OR ALL WILL NOT GO GOOD...AND GOAHEAD AND GET ONE..GOOD LUCK!
