im going to buy a female guinea pig in dekalb il and it will be a girl. i want it to be a guinea pig with the different color blotches you know? do you think presly is a good name?

I agree with MemphisGal. Please adopt your new piggie from a local shelter or rescue. A reputable rescue will have already quarantined their pigs for illness or parasites. A pet store pig will usually have some kind of illness that won't be noticeable until after you get it home or it will have parasites.

The type you are looking for is tortoise shell and white. I recommend that you get a short haired guinea pig if you are a first time owner. I agree that you should adopt but if you don't have any adoption centres locally (like me) than you can buy from a breeder or a pet store.
