about the blood thing, i also had a hamster that seemed to bleed from his male parts. he eventually died, i think when it's something so small as a hamster they are pretty fragile. maybe you can ask the vet, but i think first you should separate them to rule out that they could be fighting. good luck!

yes.. i got this same problems before..

then i saw with my own eyes the father actually have sex with his little one.. male or female it the same... he just do it!

after that the baby hamster butt hole bleed..totally same case as yours.

i didn't do much to the small one.. the bleeding just stop after a while. but i separate the father.. and put it in another cage. that solve the whole problems and the little one are fine again.

ok, my friend an i have bred dwarf hamsters for quite a while and we have seen this problem before. it sounds very much like your hamster has prolapsed his rectum. basically, something has gone wrong internally with your hamsters GI tract, and it has loosed the end part fo the intestine, the anus and rectum.

so far, we have discovered no way to fix the problem after it happened, and the expense to fix the problem would not be worth it (sorry i have to break it too you) because the only way to fix it is surgery. on such small animals, only about 1 % live through such an invasive surgery as the type required for this. if the protruding parts have already touched the cage bottom, then bacteria has been planted in his intestines that will most likely kill him. although, we have known quite a few that have lived on their own.

now i am only describing something that applies if the red, bloody thing is protruding from where he poops, not where he pees.
