What should we name the baby turtles2007-11-25 16:57:24

We just got 2 baby turtles and can't think of names-- we don't know if they're male or female so please stay away from gender-speciic names. Any suggestions?

Have you looked at the Dr. Seuss book Yertle the Turtle? There are quite a few rhyming names in there.Yertle, Myrtle. I think I would stay away from fertile though!

Since its illegal to sell turtles under 4 inches, something tells me you bought these guys on impulse from the black market (china town or a kiosk at a tourist spot like myrtle beach SC or florida). Just so you know They cannot live in a plastic box, they need a glass tank 10 gallons PER inch of turtle with a basking spot over a land area and a uvb light bulb so they can absorb calcium, they also need a filter and regular cleaning. Turtles are extremely high maitenance animals.

Now for your question, i would name them Rafael and Leonardo after my fave teenage mutant ninja turtles.
