Why is my rabbit shedding fur
Why is my rabbit shedding fur2007-11-25 17:00:48
I've had my bunny since January 2006. She has never shed so much before. Since her spay, August 28, she has been losing alot of fur or shedding.
Why is this happening?
Answers:Female rabbits will pull their fur and make a nest to lay the young in. So females will get a thicker coat especially around the "dulap" or under her chin. This is the fur they pull out and make a nest. Because your rabbit was spayed, her hormones wont tell her when its time to pull or not pull and the fur will be shed out more then normal because she isn't pulling it herself.
Just brush her a few times a week with a soft dog brush. She'll love it! (I would suggest doing this in the bathroom or outside so the fur doesn't float all around the house)
Had my rabbit for about 7 years. Right now he is getting a new coat. I can pull lumps of fur right off him. It's just his winter coat coming in. Natural. Happens about twice a year. Give her a brush to make her more comfortable. Don't worry, she's normal!
definitely it is sick increase its apetite in green vegetables
if you have a male with her this means she is pregant so she is shedding to make a nest for her young.. if its not that than shes probably sick or getting to her days when its bye bye..
hope its my first answer
It's natural unless she is going bald then you need to take her to the vet. You need to read up about rabbits. I suggest you read the House Rabbit Handbook and go to these websites.
